GuideGet startedGuild setup
Set up Warchest for your guild step by step, skip what you don't need, and get one code to paste in game. Nothing leaves this page: the code is made right here in your browser.
Each step explains one part of Warchest and what your choice does. Skip any step to leave that part as it is in your guild. At the end you get a setup code; in game, type /wc setup, click Apply a setup code, paste it and press Preview. Warchest shows what will change before anything is applied.
Paste a code from this page or from Copy this guild's setup in game to start from it.
Warchest refers to ranks by position, so tell it how many your guild has. Rank 1 is always the Guild Master. Names are optional and only help you here: in game, Warchest shows your real rank names when you preview the code.
Keep the game's order.Enter your ranks top to bottom as the game lists them (Guild Control, or the rank list in the guild roster): rank 1 is the Guild Master, rank 2 the next one down, and so on. If you have 6 ranks in game, pick 6 here. Before anything is applied, the in-game preview shows your real rank names, so a slip is easy to spot.
Warchest shares holdings, requests and chat history only between the ranks you allow. Officer tools let a rank post guild needs, schedule raids, run polls and events, and change these settings. The choice is saved in your Guild Info text, so every member's add-on follows the same rule.
The Guild Master always has officer tools. Officer ranks can always use Warchest.
Alts follow their main: a low-rank alt of an allowed member is allowed too. Private mode whispers guild data to allowed members instead of using the guild channel (use it when some ranks are left out).
Warchest keeps 5 days of guild and officer chat. When someone logs in, guildmates' Warchest fills in what they missed. By default guild chat catch-ups go to every rank that may use Warchest, and officer chat to the ranks with officer tools. The Guild Master always gets both.
Off stops catch-ups only: everyone still keeps what they saw themselves.
Pick your raid and the nights you raid. The raid then moves on to the next night by itself after each raid. Members are asked to sign up, and those short of anything on the checklist get a reminder 3 hours before.
The time is your own clock; Warchest works it out for guildmates in other time zones.
Soft reserves let each raider name the items they want most from the raid; the loot helper and tooltips show them. Loot points are optional: officers award them for coming to raids and for bosses, and spend them on loot.
Characters that hold guild stock. Members can deposit to them with one click at the mailbox, stock alerts count what they hold, and their deposits and withdrawals are kept as a history.
Use the names exactly as they appear in the guild roster (add -Realm if your guild spans realms).
Give each tab of the guild vault a purpose. Warchest then spots items in the wrong tab and split stacks, and at the vault an officer's Tidy button moves them where they belong, one stack at a time.
Tab 1 is the leftmost tab at the guild vault.
Officers are told when the guild vault and bank characters together hold less than a minimum. Give a refill amount and tick "Ask the guild" to have members asked to top it up automatically; the request closes itself when stock is back.
Search by name (common materials and raid consumables are listed), or type an item ID or paste a Wowhead link for anything else. The in-game preview names every item before you apply.
If your guild pays for repairs, set a weekly amount per player. Warchest reads repairs from the guild bank's own log, and officers see who went over it on the vault's officer page. It only tells you: to actually cap repairs, set each rank's daily gold withdrawal in the game's Guild Control.
A short note every guildmate with Warchest sees once: house rules, raid times, who to ask. Change it later and everyone sees the new one once.

This code holds everything you chose. Skipped steps aren't in it, so those parts of your guild stay as they are.
Who may use Warchest can only be applied by the Guild Master or an officer who may edit the Guild Info; the rest by any officer.
Warchest works best when everyone has it. Paste this into guild chat (change it as you like):
